On the Grocery List:

GROCERY SHOPPING!!  I jump at every opportunity to go with my mom (I think it's sO fUn!!), but when I can't, I make her a list. I really need my license... I can't tell you how bad I want to go to the grocery store and fill my cart up with all the healthy foods I hadn't heard about until poking around on Pinterest. You really don't realize how many things there are to eat until you get help from social media or the internet in some way - did you know goji berries were a thing? Ever heard of mulberries? Have you tried roasted chickpeas? Maybe you've heard of/eaten all of them (kudos to you), but there are tons more out there waiting to be tried. I get bored of eating the same foods consistently, so I try to differ what I put on my list each week.


My mom usually goes grocery shopping without me during the school day, but she lets me write down all the things I want to try aside from the regular fruits (apples, oranges, bananas, etc.), veggies (kale, spinach, spring mix...), and meats the rest of the family eats. It's been strangely fun exploring all different foods and drinks!





Some weeks I put 15 foods down, some I put 5, some I put down no new foods, some I put down all new ones. Overall, I've been rotating between:

Cashews
Almonds
Walnuts
Mashed avocado
Avocado
Sweet peppers
Califa Farms coconut almond milk
So Delicious coconut milk yogurt
So Delicious coconut milk yogurt
So Delicious coconut milk ice cream
Lemon juice (for in my water)
Flax seeds
Chia seeds
Hemp seeds
Frozen fruit
Blackberries
Coconut chips
