Switching Gears

When I started my blog a year ago, I knew what I wanted to focus on - fashion. I had no problem writing, putting up posts, or taking pictures. I enjoyed every second of what I did and don't regret a second of the time I put into it. But that's not what I want anymore. I'm getting sick of being in front of the camera, feeling pressured to wear a nice outfit all the time, and shopping for new clothes to write about... all of which I never thought I'd say. I didn't start my blog to make money or to work with companies or to become more well-known online. I do this because it's what I enjoy - and if I'm not enjoying it, what's the point of continuing? No, I'm not shutting this down. In fact, I'm doing the opposite.

I've always believed that passion is the driving force behind everything, so it's not the same without it. Although I never lacked passion, I felt like I was at a point where that was starting to happen. So, here I am, after months of thinking and taking everything into consideration, switching gears and starting something new. I'm not completely abandoning fashion posts forever, it's just that I don't want that to be my primary focus. My name was a little too style-particular, so welcome to Living a Happy Life!! I'm focusing on what really matters to me - being happy, feeling healthy, dressing to express (NOT impress), and being an overall good, kind human.

I feel like over the last few weeks I've been straying from my typical style posts, so in the long run, not a ton changes. I hope you stick around and are as excited as I am for this new growth!

Stay on the sunny side,
MEG
